I had my second appointment with the oncologist today, ready to start chemo, but due to the lump ( collection of liquid from the operation), under my arm, it has been delayed until 13 July. I am not impressed, as I had carefully worked out the dates I thought would work around Kylas (the official ) wedding.
I learned that the week after chemo I am likely to feel awful, but it cant be helped. The oncologist prescribed me tablets for nausea ( one of the side effects of chemo) and tablets for my stomach as the nausea tablets are likely to affect my stomach linen. This I am sure is only the start. I have always been adverse to taking any type of tablet, as my theory has always been that for every side effect you end up having to take another tablet, which could mean that due to me feeling nauseous, I end up taking 20 types of different tablets to deal with these.
So far I am equipped with 4 different types of tablets to deal with the side effects of the first chemo. Can't wait for what's about to come.................

So I have just spent the last hour watching UTube videos on how to do your make up when you are having chemo and how to stick on false eyelashes. The girl , the blogger must have been the most beautiful cancer patient I have seen.
That sounds stupid, as I have no idea how many cancer patients I have seen. You wouldnt know unless someone told you. What I meant was, that I did not expect a beautiful young bald girl with cancer, demonstrating this. It looks complicated, but I imagine I will have plenty of practice over the next 18 months. Up to now I have never used false eye lashes, so here is another new experience.
It baffles me, how you can stick false eye lashes onto an eye lid without any lashes. Will I end up looking like a clown on a bad day? How do you know where to draw a line for your eye brows when they are no longer in your face? Let's hope I won't get the shakes................
